Geeveston, The Platypus Town

Seems like everywhere we turn, we're hearing that it's our local platypus family that is charming everyone who makes the effort to see them.

It's one of our most obvious attractions that we haven't utilised as a distinctive drawcard. We tend to be too laid back about their easy presence in our town and tend not to appreciate the strength of their appeal to visitors.

As someone described it, it's "low hanging fruit" as a promotional feature of our town ... one of many, to be sure, but so, so easy to get up and running quickly.
